MORIOKA UTAWIT 2009 On June 14, 2009 Philippine Consulate- Morioka hosted the celebration of 111th Philippine Independence in Aiina Hall, Morioka City. The said event was highlighted by UTAWIT 2009 regional qualifying round participated by eight talented individuals coming from different parts of Iwate Prefecture. The panel of the board of judges are Consul Angelica Escalona, Mr. Nobuaki Sasada and Ms. Glenda Tabata, who was the the chairman of the board of judges, had a hard time to decide who will qualify for the UTAWIT Grand finals which is scheduled to be held on October 11, 2009 at Meguro Hall, Tokyo.
